A Question of Values"The secret of man's being is not only to live but to have something to live for." -Dostoyevsky
The value of an individual can't be measured in terms of money, yet that is exactly what many try to do. We tend to have the irrational idea that there is some sort of magic in what money can do for us. In reality, our concern about money may stem from how we think others perceive us, or how they will treat us differently if we have enough vs. not enough. How much is enough? To answer that question requires a hard look at your core values, i.e., identifying what and who is most important in your life. Then you must answer, "what is important about money to you?" The questions are challenging, no doubt about it. When we delve into the heart of who we are and what is most important to us in this life, we're faced with the ultimate self-assessment. In other words, "Are you living your life the way you always hoped and dreamed?" If you're not doing so right now, are you on track to get there? Most of us have allowed ourselves to get caught up in this fast paced, frantic society - running a race with no nd in sight. I ask you, "Are you really satisfied and fulfilled?" Is this the life you always pictured for yourself?" To make matters more challenging, we're living in very uncertain times. We're constantly forced to accept change, change and more change. We often process more information in one day than our parents did in ten years. All the more reason to live the life you want for all the right reasons. The byline on my business card is, "Planning with purpose...for your money and your life". In other words: * Is your life based on sound decisions or is it based on "whatever happens next"? * Have you taken time to think about the difference? * Do you have a sense of purpose, expectancy and passion? * Is money, the lack of it or not knowing how to manage what you have, robbing you of your life? Whew! Take a deep breath.....let it out slowly - you're okay - really. I am not a psychologist, but I can provide the wake up call and help you identify the desired path for your life and act as a guide to help you reach your goals. Asking the hard question is easy for me. I am a respectful, compassionate listener and as a result, most people find me easy to talk to. In fact, they sometimes tell me things I'd rather not know! Consider this part of my service an ADDED VALUE. LET'S TALK! (Or rather YOU talk - I'll listen!
