Long Term Healthcare Issues

FOOD FOR THOUGHT....

 1.  Does the term "retirement" mean the same for you as it did for your parents?

 2.  Do you expect to have less or more money in the last phase of your life as your parents?  Will lifestyle be better or worse than today?

3.  Based on your parent's health and your current health, what do you project your life expectancy to be (in years)?

4.  Do you expect Social Security payout to change by the time you qualify for benefits?

5.  Do you expect healthcare costs to contine escalating?

6.  Do you expect government provided healthcare in the near future?  Will the cost be lower or higher than you pay now?

7.  Do you have an idea of how much money you'll need to actualy quit working?  If so, have you projected how long it will last?

8.  Do you think you're saving enough?

9.  What have you done to protect your savings and assets from being depleted due to long term healthcare costs?

10.  If you've done no planning, WHICH ONE OF YOUR CHILDREN WILL YOU LIVE WITH???
